Choosing the Perfect Venue for your Event

Over the past few months I have been very lucky to organise events and to also attend events at cool event spaces in the Cork region, various venues open a while and others just opened to the public and to the business community.

As a professional event planner, Nano Nagle Place and Republic of Work in Cork city, Garryvoe Hotel in East Cork, the newly revamped Pairc Uí Chaoimh, the Regional Park in Ballincollig, the cosy snug at Electric Bar and the Cameo cinema at the Montenotte Hotel were a pleasure to visit and work from.

Good light, space for registration and mingling, catering options, access and parking are crucial but most importantly is the welcome and ambience set for when guests arrive

Recently I visited Playa Blanco in Lanzarote for a mindfulness and mediation course which was held each morning in a quiet part of the hotel garden. This photo captures the wonderful spot we choose, sitting in the shade because it averaged 28 degrees every day, enjoying the beautiful colours and sounds. If only we had weather like this in Ireland in October for outdoor events!
